Research Use Only: what the labelling means
Why every vial reads "For Research Use Only", what follows from that and what we deliberately do not do.
All PURA LABS products are labelled For Research Use Only (RUO). This labelling is not a formality, it describes the sole intended purpose.
What RUO means
- The products are intended for in vitro research and for laboratory investigations.
- They are not medicinal products, not dietary supplements and not cosmetics.
- They are not intended for use in humans or animals.
What follows from this for us
We therefore deliberately give:
- no dosage information,
- no usage recommendations,
- no statements about effects in humans.
The studies in our study library are classified as scientific literature, with a clear statement of the type of evidence (for example preclinical or methodological). They are not product promises.
